The stories of our history are traced through the generations with fact and fiction along with song and dance all woven into an epic musical theatre experience for the whole family.

A spectacular production made up of more than 300 people from our many talented community groups. Don’t miss this magical production that will in itself be a historic moment for Cairns.

This is a work of fiction. It is not intended as a complete and accurate record of the history of Cairns, nor of the events occurring in the region over the last sixty thousand years. An extended program will be available at the event.

This performance will be Auslan interpreted.

As part of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, preliminary basketball games will be hosted in Cairns. To extend the Commonwealth Games experience beyond the sporting stadium, Festival 2018 has been designed as a bold arts and cultural program to galvanise and inspire audiences around the region.

In Cairns Festival 2018 will feature a mix of free music concerts, performances, and visual arts designed to surprise and delight audiences of all ages across 12 days in April.
