The CrankChaos Maluti Mountain Bike Festival, Africa's highest MTB event at 3222m is back for the third year!
The CrankChaos Maluti Mountain Bike Festival is a bucket list event and brings something completely different to the traditional mountain biking calendar - revolutionizing the way consumers interact and demo the latest gear in the Mountain bike industry.
By bringing together the biggest names in mountain biking, participants are able to test and rate the tech on show. They will maximize their experience by hooking onto the only Uplift in Africa at Afriski Mountain resort in Lesotho which will give them over 200m in vertical gain in under 7 minutes. Once at the top they can then choose from a myriad of tracks to get down the mountain again, testing bikes in their natural habitat.
The CrankChaos Mountain Bike Festival offers floor space for exhibitors that overlook the mountain trails, with the uplift running all day. Guests can also enjoy the views from the Sky Restaurant, the highest restaurant in Africa or grab a drink from the Gondola Cafe, the highest bar in Africa, and enjoy the spectacle.
It's more than just an expo, riders will be able to compete in an event with all mountain bike disciplines including an African first, “The Downhill Eliminator”. A thrilling race between 4 downhill mountain bikers, each on their own track, racing for the hole shot to take the honours in a series of heats where there is only 1 winner...
