mindfulness + inner practices in yin yoga
teacher training intensive level II
for level 2+
£825 (Early Bird £775 until July 30 2018)
Yin yoga encourages holding floor poses for long periods to enhance the Chi or energy distribution through the fascia, organs, and bones. Restoring the flow of Chi within us has a direct impact on our psychological states, encouraging increased ease of being, a foundation for authentic meditation to occur.
After we have established a clear understanding of how and why to practice Yin yoga, we can begin to look more closely at the pranic and mind training aspect available to us while in the poses, and as a separate seated practice.
In this course, we will NOT focus on how and why to practice Yin Yoga (assuming you already know these things), INSTEAD we will explore the inner methods; various breath patterns and retentions, visualizations for the health of the organs, contemplations in the poses, as well as the foundation methods of Buddhist Mindfulness.
Each session will include:
- a lecture
- yin yoga session
- seated meditation practices focusing on the Four - foundations of Mindfulness
- interactive discussion time.
