Scapa Centenary

I know this sounds like a long way off but you might well be aware that 2019 is the centenary of the scuttling of the German fleet in Scapa Flow.

As such every boat and his brother are going to be in Scapa that summer and the dive charters are booking up fast (they started taking bookings in 2009!)

Unfortunately, the centenary week was all booked up years ago but there are a whole repetoire of events which are being planned for the 2019 season. With all this in mind I would like to get a boat booked before they are all snapped up.

Having just had a fabulous week on the MV Valkyrie I'd like to book the MV Valhalla for the last week in July. This boat will have very similar facilities to the Valkyrie except there will be en-suite showers and a downstairs toilet!

Cost per person is £566.25 each with a deposit of £208.33 per person based on 12 divers.

Food is on top of that and so is travel to Orkney. There are a number of options including flying, 11 hour drive to Scrabster followed by a ferry crossing to Stromness, 6 hour drive to Aberdeen with a ferry crossing to Kirkwall. (My preference is for Aberdeen but we can decide that nearer the time).
Minimum qualification level is Sports Diver with depth progression but if there are any current Ocean Divers who are interested you have plenty of time to get your necessary qualifications and experience.

Equipment configuration will be a minimum of a single tank and a pony.

Depths will vary from ca. 15m up to about 38-43m depending on the composition of the group. The dives can be catered to the skills and experience of the group.

If you are interested please let me have your names ASAP. Deposits are required by the end of August to confirm the week. (If that's a problem just let me know and I'm sure we can sort something out). Final payment required by February 2019.

I'm planning on the week 29th June to 6th July 2019.

If you are interested please speak to Sue Brown for further details. (I'm excited already)!
