Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to create and maintain health of their body, mind and spirit through the use of traditional techniques from the philosophy and practice of yoga. Generally practiced in small groups or privately, students address specific health concerns with yoga postures, breathing and meditation. This workshop series focuses on a specific topic for each session.
October 13: Back & Neck Pain
October 20: The Joints: Arthritis & Connective Tissue Health
October 27: The Mind: Stress, Anxiety & Depression
November 3: Autoimmune & Gut Health
Students will learn a simple practice for each of the above health concerns. Classes will be discussion-based, but also include movement practices. Attending all four topics will ensure a comprehensive understanding of yoga therapy––and, you may be able to pass on tips to your friends!
