Cole Carothers: Cincinnati Time, 40 Years + New Works

Located at the Caza Sikes Gallery at 3078 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH, This exhibition compiles over 40 years of Cole's work created while he was living in Cincinnati. 4 decades of exceptional paintings, including new and unseen works, and will run November 3rd-27th. The opening reception for Cole's solo exhibition will occur from 5:00-9:00 PM on Friday, November 3rd. Borrowed paintings from private collections across 4 decades will highlight the show.

A Cincinnati native, Cole Carothers recieved his BA from Colorado college in 1971 and his MFA from American University in 1978. During his time teaching and working in multiple universities such as the Cincinnati Art Academy, Cole Carothers continued to produce his unique oil paintings, participating in exhibitions across the country. He has permanent collections in the Cincinnati Art Museum, University of Kentucky Art Museum, Georgetown College, Lakeland College, and University of Cincinnati. From 2011-2013 his paintings were hung in the Ohio Governor's executive offices in Columbus, Ohio, and has a current Instillation in the U.S. Ambassador's office in Nairobi, Kenya.
