During the Middle Ages, pilgrims from Northern France and other parts of Northern Europe, would gather at the Tour Saint Jacques in Paris to walk in the company of others on pilgrimage to the shrine of Saint James in Spain.
We'll begin this 130 kilometer pilgrimage by meeting in Versailles to transfer to a small hamlet on the outskirts of Paris. We continue walking south-west through bucolic countryside to the imposing Chartres Cathedral. Over a 9-day period, we'll enjoy well-marked footpaths, enchanted forests, manicured French gardens, Romenesque and Gothic churches, Royal chateau, monasteries and canals built by Louis IVX.
We'll tote your luggage in our support vans, rest in comfortable hotels, dine on local cuisine.
