Standing Poses Workshop

This 9-weekend teacher training course will be taught by Monica Cullinane from October 2017 – May 2018 (Oct 13-15, Nov 3-5, Dec 1-3, Jan 5-7, Feb 2-4, Feb 16-18, Mar 2-4, Apr 6-8, May 4-6). Friday evenings: 6-9pm; Saturdays & Sundays 8:45am – 4:30pm.

Course Content: Poses, breathing and meditation: 100 hours; Teaching Methodology: 25 hours; Anatomy & Physiology: 20 hours; Philosophy & Ethics: 30 hours; Practicum: 25 hours; total: 200 hours. Other topics covered include: how to adjust poses, use of props, dealing with student injuries, yogic philosophy and basic sanskrit.

Teacher trainees who successfully complete the course may register with the Yoga Alliance and use the registry mark (200 hour) in addition to the letters RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) after their name. They will also be awarded a teaching “Certificate of Attainment” from the Academy of Yoga.

If you are unable to commit to the full training or would like to focus on personal practice and yogic philosophy by attending one or more individual classes, you are welcome to join specific weekends a la carte. Your study will accumulate towards a “Certificate of Attendance” from Academy of Yoga.

Participants must have at least one and preferably two years of yoga experience. This is a practical, hands-on course, and you need to be fit, experienced and motivated to complete it. For more information call 970-712-7051 or visit

Monica has studied yoga for 25 years with prominent teachers worldwide. In 1998, she traveled to India to study with BKS Iyengar and has studied at the International Iyengar Institutes in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Florence, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Los Angelos, New York and Denver. She is very involved in the “yoga scene” and attends workshops and conferences with many prominent teachers. Monica is also a certified Health and Nutrition Coach, the loving mother of two healthy children, and teaches nutrition and yoga to fulfill her passion for helping people take their lives to the next level.
