Thanks & Giving: 1st Friday Shop, Dine, Stroll

Come out for an evening of “Thanks & Giving” in Downtown Salisbury. Drop-off your canned food donations to help those in our local community in need. Spend time with family and friends while strolling the streets of Downtown. Pick-up a walking map at our Visitors Center.

Don't miss the family-friendly activities in our Kids Zone from 5-9 pm on East Fisher Street. Activities to include bounce house, stilt walker, giant bubbles and hay rides throughout downtown. Buskers will also be performing throughout downtown on sidewalks for your musical enjoyment.

The Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina was selected to receive these canned good donations because it services a wide base throughout Rowan County. Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina supports 21 programs in Rowan County including Rowan Helping Ministries, Salvation Army, CCM/Kannapolis, Nazareth Children’s Home and Main Street Mission. In 2015-2016 the Food Bank distributed over 1.7 million pounds to agencies right here in Rowan County. Please make sure your donations are not near or past their expiration date.
