Traditional Diets in a Changing World

Scientist in the Spotlight is held on the first and third Friday of each month from 2 p.m.–4 p.m. at NHMU. The program allows Museum guests to meet real scientists and discuss their research. Scientists will be available in the Naturalist Lab.

Meet cultural anthropologist, Blanca Yagüe, and learn about the indigenous peoples she studies and the food processes they participate in. View artifacts from Amazonian peoples and participate in a traditional process of turning yucca into cassava bread.

Included in Museum admission, free to members and University of Utah faculty, staff, and students with a current U ID.
