Lapinlahti Film Festival Returns This August – Bigger Than Ever!

Lapinlahti Film Festival is a community-driven, free-of-charge, low-threshold film festival that welcomes everyone to experience the power of cinema, culture, and shared experiences.
The festival opens at Kino Regina in Oodi on Monday and Tuesday, 17–18 August 2026. The programme features films that move, inspire, and spark conversation around this year's theme, Heritage and Taboos. The theme invites us to reflect on what we pass on to future generations—and what still remains unspoken.
At Oodi, audiences can enjoy beloved film classics, contemporary Finnish cinema, and a new Taiwanese cinematic gem.
