Navigating Authorship: Credit, Rights, and Responsibility

Who qualifies as an author on a research paper—and who gets listed first? In this interactive workshop, you’ll explore how authorship credit is determined, the rights and responsibilities that come with being an author, and how contributions can be recognized fairly and transparently. We’ll also consider common authorship challenges and practical strategies for discussing and navigating authorship with collaborators. Whether you’re working on your first paper or already have publishing experience and want more guidance for future collaborations, this workshop will help you approach authorship decisions with greater confidence.
