Pomodoro Nighttime Study Session: (Midterms Edition)
Join us for two hours of focused, distraction-free study utilizing the pomodoro technique. Snacks, break games, prizes, and a raffle for a Study Cram tote bag. Registration requested, not required.
Event Details:
Join us in Hohbach Hall Presentation Palace (HH122) for a guided silent study session built around the Pomodoro Technique. Work in focused 25-minute sprints, then take a real 5-minute break. Everyone runs on the same timer, so just show up, pick a task, and let the clock keep you on track.
Four Pomodoros, one shared rhythm: 25 minutes of silent study, then a 5-minute break. Tomato timers around the room and a large countdown clock signal each transition. This method supports concentration and information retention. Making your studying more effective.
Phone parking lot: Check your phone in at the door during each Pomodoro (optional but encouraged) and actually get things done.
Punch cards & prizes: Earn a punch for every Pomodoro you complete. Collect punches for candy, stickers, pens, highlighters, and your pick of the prize table.
Raffle: Fill out your punch card with your name and email, then turn it in at the end of the session for a chance to win a Study Cram tote bag filled with goodies to help you survive late-night study sessions!
Snacks & break stations: Grab a drink and snacks during breaks outside the library, or unwind with puzzles, coloring, origami, and Uno.
Available for checkout: Course reserves, phone chargers, and Mac chargers. Earplugs provided.
Registration required: Space is limited, and registering helps us plan food. Please sign up
Bring your Stanford ID card/mobile ID to enter the library, plus your laptop, notes, and one task you want to finish.
