Professors Nancy Kanwisher and Leslie Kaelbling will discuss the Embodied Intelligence Mission's recent research and upcoming projects.
Nancy Kanwisher is the Walter A. Rosenblith Professor in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT as well as an Investigator with the McGovern Institute for Brain Research. Her research focuses on the functional organization of the human brain as a window into the architecture of the mind.
Leslie Kaelbling is the Panasonic Professor at MIT's Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and SQI's Director of Research. She researches how beings perceive the world around them and integrate this information to plan and complete tasks, including studying the interface of perception, planning, and action, how robots and humans can learn efficiently from small data sets, and the creation of behavioral benchmark tasks.
