Sonstiges 04.11.2026 / Mittwoch / 17:30 - 20:30 Humanities Center, 424 Santa Teresa Street, Stanford, CA 94305 Veranstalter: Department of German Studies Tickets kaufen
Please join the DLCL Department of German Studies for the Stanford in Haus Cramer: A Berlin Microhistory book launch. Featuring a presentation with editors Karen Ruoff Kramer and Cheryce von Xylander, and Faculty Emeritus Larry Friedlander. Reception to follow.   We are delighted to invite you to join us for a celebration of the book’s release and of the Stanford in Berlin community on campus and beyond! The book, published to mark the 50th anniversary of the Berlin Bing Overseas Studies Program, offers a deep dive into the rich history of the program, the house, and the city. Through its vast collection of perspectives and materials, it showcases Haus Cramer as witness to Berlin modernity, to Jewish-German life between the wars, and as a refuge for those who lived, taught, and studied in its rooms.   Take a look at the Stanford Library’s Spotlight Exhibit and find the book at Stanford University Press. We look forward to the celebration and to bringing together Berlin communities past, present, and future!   RSVP for the book launch here. Respond by October 26 to secure your spot - limited seating available!
